Beasts, Birds, Boulders and Botany

Take a walk along the wild side and explore the wildlife and geology between Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle. Help us record the birds, animals and plants of this spectacular stretch of coastline and find out about how the underlying rocks have made this landscape unique. A partnership event between the Northumberland Coast AONB, the EYE project, the European Marine Site, Northumberland Wildlife Trust, National Trust and the Hancock Museum.

Borders Green Festival

Come and visit the festival to enjoy great music and entertainment. Learn more about green issues in the environment marquee and join in with environmental activities and music sessions.

Seashore Safaris

Investigate seashore rock pools with marine biological officer for the European Marine Site Aisling Lannin. Wear suitable footwear for wet and slippery rocks (wellies are best or bring spare shoes, bring nets and buckets if you have them). Sorry no unaccompanied children.

Seahouses North Beach. Meet at Seahouses at the junction of Broad Road and B1340 to Bamburgh NU211325. Park on the verge beyond the houses.

Come and join the Rangers who will be scanning the sea for whales and dolphins as part of National Whale and Dolphin Watch Week.  The Rangers will be watching from St Abb’s Head, outside the lighthouse compound, turn up anytime and help them search.  Free, all welcome and no booking required.
